Keeping It Simple Strategies for

Quality Time With God

Having difficulty with your 11th Step? Need to find simple ways to spend time with God that don't lead to shame and self-loathing? The play therapy specialists here at the Recovery Man Humor Asylum have been helping patients for years to relax and enjoy time with God through the use of simple games. Dominos is good. (Even the name sounds kind of spiritual doesn't it? ) Candyland is excellent. But the all-time favorite on our inpatient units is Rock-Paper-Scissors. God seems to love this game and our clients do as well. Now you can play on line. Enjoy some quality time with God!

Your Score Wins    Losses    Draws

Game Rules: The rules are simple: you choose either a Rock, a piece of Paper, or a pair of Scissors. God also makes a choice. The winner is determined by the following rules:

  • A Rock breaks Scissors, so the rock wins.
  • Scissors cut Paper, so the scissors win.
  • Paper covers Rock, so the paper wins.

Warning: As with all therapeutic modalities, there are some risks associated with play therapy. Common side effects of extend use of on-line Rock-Paper-Scissors include abdominal or stomach cramps or pain (mild), gas or flatulence, decreased appetite, dry mouth, sweating, constipation, headache (mild), and nausea. Less frequent or rare side effects include hair loss, increased anxiety, chest pain, shortness of breath, bloody diarrhea, impotence, manic/depressive episodes and the unexplained presence of coins on eyeballs.
