The Mysteries of Biblical
Prophesy Finally Decoded!

The Search

Dr. Wilber Profit was depressed. For a decade he had led the team of computer scientists and biblical scholars at the Recovery Man Research Institute in the search for the code which would finally unlock all of the secrets of biblical prophesy. He knew from the beginning that it would not be an easy task. But he was discouraged. He regularly reminded himself and his research team of the innumerable Christians who struggled day in and day out because they could not understand the inner truth of biblical prophecy -- and this needless suffering compelled him to continue his work in spite of all odds. Why should God's people suffer because they are uncertain about the differences between the first three and a half weeks of the tribulation period and the second three and a half weeks? Why should lives be disrupted by an inability to distinguish between the Great White Throne Judgment and the Judgment Seat of Christ? There had to be an ANSWER!

The Breakthrough

In early November of 1999, Wilber and his wife, Billy Sue, took a short vacation in San Diego, California. But Wilber could not relax - somehow he just knew that a breakthrough was near. Late at night, after many hours of deep prayer, and in a state of complete brokeness, Wilber - for reasons he could not later explain - opened the small drawer in the nightstand beside his bed, He picked up the Gideon Bible and he found it open to the 8th chapter of the book of Daniel.

Wilber had, of course, read this chapter thousands of times. He knew how central it was to all of biblical prophecy. But this time, this particular time, as he stared at the words it was as if seeing them for the first time. There before him was THE PATTERN. He knew in an instant that God had answered all of his prayers. He knew that the study of biblical prophecy would never be the same.

The Evidence

The text to which Wilber was drawn as if by divine providence was:

the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: Daniel 8:5-7a

The presence of Recovery Man's name cryptographically embedded in this biblical text is difficult to explain without reference to words such as 'miracle' and 'wow.' Thousands of years before Recovery Man began his web page, his name was deeply connected to prophetic events of enormous importance. Wilber understood, of course, that there would be skeptics. So he immediately began an indepth study of this text and found that the name of Recovery Man was embeded not once, not twice but THREE seperate times in the eighth chapter of Daniel. Three times! Could this be by chance? Could a million, million monkeys at a million, million typewriters have ever come up with this? We think not! Here are the two other cryptographically encoded texts:

there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them came forth a little horn

and

I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation,

Is there any serious student of biblical prophecy who can fail to ignore the import of this message?

What it means!

It will, of course, take several decades of intense study to fully understand the significance of this initial observation. But the work has begun! In hopes of encouraging further study of this phenonena, the Recovery Man Research Institute has established the Hal Lindsey Award for Excellence in the Study of Biblical Prophecy(see side panel) Hopefully the full extent of Recovery Man's involvment in events surrounding the last times will become clear as scholars, motivated by this new award, investigate other texts of importance to our understanding of the end times.

While it is premature to suggest what the final outcome will be, it seems clear that literary critical theorists of the postmodernist school who have invested so much in the so-called indeterminacy of textual meaning will need to rethink their fundamental theoretical framework. No longer will the Derridadists, the defenders of Nazi collaborator Paul de Man, and other Heidiggerian sychophants be able to glibly assert the authority of their deconstructionist doublethink. It will be. . . Humm, seemed to have wandered off there for a moment. Where was I? Well, it's not important. The important thing is that Recovery Man's role in biblical prophecy seems well established and a new era in biblical studies has now begun! We are all indebted to Wilber Profit and the staff at the Recovery Man Research Institute for their labor of love on our behalf. And, of course, none of this would have been possible without the self-sacrificing efforts of Recovery Man who fights every day to make serenity a possibility for the rest of us.

GIANTS IN BIBLICAL PROPHECY GATHER TO DEDICATE NEW FACILITIES FOR RECOVERY MAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE

During the dedication ceremonies for the Recovery Man Research Institute, Hal Lindsey explained to Recovery Man why in 1981 he wrote that "The Soviet Union and its satellites have now reached the position of military superiority and strategic world power to fulfill their predicted dreadful role in history."
